Peachface Lovebird Regurgitating

My Paechface has been regurgitating on one of his toys for the last week. He seem to be building something but I am unable to find any information on the web as to why he may be doing this. Can anyone give me any information what he is doing? Thanks

it maybe thinking that the

it maybe thinking that the toy is its baby. it could be a nest that your bird is building. Are you sure your lovebird is a male? the reason for regurgitation is to feed their young.

I disagree with the previous

I disagree with the previous post . . . I have two male Peachface lovies, and they regurgitate often. My vet tells me that they do it as a sign of affection (yucky way to show it, if you ask me). They're seven years old now, and when they turned five, they went through a period (3 months) where they were CONSTANTLY regurgitating all over the house. I thought that something might be wrong, and had my vet run all kinds of tests on them, but they seemed to stop after awhile.

In my opinion, regurgitating with lovies is a normal process, whether they're male or female. They seem to find "new" objects that they like to yak on, and I just remove them, and the problem is (momentarily) solved. . . . until they discover another object to yak on.

I hope that this helps!

Did you ever find out why

Did you ever find out why your bird is regurgitating? My bird is regurgitating all over the sticks in the cage. He/she(I'm not sure what it is...but I refer to it as a he though), appears to be otherwise healthy. I clean the sticks everyday, and he does it again. It is really gross...

can you please help me

can you please help me understand this regurgitation matter, or refer me to a web site that can help?
