My husband and I are looking for a female dalmation puppy. Does anyone know where we might be able to find one?? We live in Iowa but are willing to travel if needed. I have searched all over trying to find a dal puppy with no luck. I would appreciate any help!!

hey-not trying to talk you out of a dal pup but if you have had one you know they don't start to mellow until they are 2-3 yrs old. My is seven now. Had her spade when she was 2-didn't phase her--but minds perfectly now--but for the first few years she chewed wood---grandfather clock--window ledges--picnic table while out side--bark off all my trees--(they all died)etc. you can probably find one @ the pound or spca in your area if you are patient. As you may know-Dal's are not like other dogs. I used to breed--dobies-cockers-poodles and even had a rottie--but my chole was sure a surprise. Good luck in what ever you decide.

My dalmation is my world! I never had any problems with him like that other person said!!! He is the best dog ! Very, very, loving,affectionate,he thinks he is a lap dog!He was $400.00 though. Three champion pedigree in bloodline.You need to get a dally that has a good bloodline in the breed.My vet said he is the best Dally he's ever seen! I want to breed him, so I can continue this excellent line. It's funny you say that because I feel the same way you do about our Ferris. Good bloodline means alot. Out Dal will be 10 in septmeber. We want to get another one in the next year or so.
