Our Dalmation, Spanner has this problem on her vulva. We went through the same thing with creams and medication. She had laser surgery on it 2 weeks ago, and she seems to be doing fine. I hope it doesn't come to that for you, but it worked.

We recently adopted a dalmation. He is 2 years old and itches constantly. I was told you give your dog Evening Primrose Oil Caps. What is this and where do you get it? Thanks! Lisa

Honestly it sound like to me
Honestly it sound like to me that your baby has what are know as 'hot spots' It is when your baby wont stop liking that spot because it is irritated. The spot also feels very warm to the touch. Best remedy is to shave your dogs hair around that patch of skin and keep it clean and free of debris. It should go away after about 2-4 days . Use a hydocortisone spray made for your four-legged children. Hope this information helps out.
I'm new to this board. Does
I'm new to this board. Does the Primrose oil work for "the bumps?" My poor dalmatian just keeps bumps on his body, both sides, and some on the back, ever since we moved from Calif to Hawaii. They do not itch and he does not scratch them. In Jan, I took him to the vet, and the vet stated it was a skin infection caused by allergans. He prescribed antibiotics and shampoo, Pyoben, and to use the shampoo consistently. Well, the antibiotic and shampoo cleared up the condition for a while, but now it's back again and I am still using the shampoo like the vet told me to 2 to 3 times a week, but it doesn't seem to be doing any good.
Our dalmatian had the same
Our dalmatian had the same skin rashes all the time. We now give him OMEGA 369 a vitamin you can get at the Vitamin Shoppe. He is much better and less itchy.
